Gabriele Provenzano

Gabriele Provenzano was born in Lodi in 1998 and is a visual artist currently working in Italy. He studied graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and sculpture and performing arts in Turin.

Over the years he has developed a multidisciplinary practice. He absorbs, processes and creates the form he considers best suited to inevitably represent the personal, the social and the ambiguous. He explores themes concerning the precariousness of a generational future, starting from the visual culture of adolescence and often drawing on metaphors based on contemporary and archaeozoological interspecies relations. He draws parallels with the human world, questioning the relational mechanisms that bring about a process of flattening, homogenization and constraint of the individual.
