Emma Zhang Gallery is an artist-led experimental contemporary art space located in Turin, Italy, founded by Su Zhang in May 2024.
Emma Zhang focuses on emerging contemporary art, placing experimental artistic practices at the core of her vision. She is dedicated to discovering emerging artists, continuously enhancing the public visibility of a new generation of artistic voices, and supporting the continuity of their creative practices. Her aim is to provide a stable platform for the presentation and development of meaningful artistic work.
Rooted in the European art context, Emma Zhang is committed to building a two-way artistic bridge between Europe and Asia. She seeks to challenge established boundaries within the Italian and broader European art scenes, overcome geographical and cultural barriers, and foster meaningful connections across diverse artistic ecosystems. Through collaborations with artists, curators, art spaces, and institutions across Europe and Asia, Emma Zhang develops diverse and sustainable artistic exchange initiatives, continuously broadening artistic perspectives and cultivating long-term engagement that begins with exhibitions and extends into the art market and the field of research.

Peekaboo Project, an experimental art initiative under Emma Zhang, aims to establish a dynamic and continuously evolving artistic platform. Rather than operating within a fixed or predetermined framework, its artistic identity gradually takes shape through ongoing practices and collaborative relationships. The project regards experimentation as a value in its own right, embracing exploratory artistic practices without evaluating creativity solely on the basis of its outcomes.
Peekaboo considers the visibility of art to be an essential responsibility. Beyond organizing exhibitions, it is committed to establishing meaningful contexts for artistic creation, creating opportunities for artists’ development, and ensuring the recognition and continuity of artistic practices. Through collaborations with artists, curators, and art institutions both locally and internationally, the project seeks to foster in-depth dialogue with the Chinese art ecosystem, broaden established perspectives within the European art scene, and enrich its own academic and collaborative networks. Peekaboo continually seeks to bridge the boundaries between art institutions and artistic practice. Committed to sustained engagement with art and artists, its activities encompass exhibitions, research, and criticism, prioritizing long-term investment and commitment over the temporary visibility of individual exhibitions.
